Checkers (also known as Draughts) is a traditional abstract strategy game for two players.

There are a number of different variants of the game:

In English Draughts (also known as American Checkers, or Straight Checkers), the game is played on a 8X8 board, will 12 pieces initially per side.
In International Draughts, the game is played on a 10X10 board with 20 pieces per side to start.
There are also various other varieties of the game, such Brazilian Checkers, Canadian Checkers, Pool Checkers, etc.

Please note, there are also rule differences between the different variants of the game.
