Scrabble is a board game for two to four players, the original version of Scrabble having been created by Alfred Mosher Butts in 1938 under the name Lexiko. The objective in Scrabble is to score points by placing letters on a 15X15 grid to form words, crossword-style. The number of points scored depends on the letters used, and the grid squares covered (some grid squares contain bonuses which multiply the value of individual letters or the entire word). Although there is some luck in Scrabble, it is mostly a game of skill, including vocabulary, positional play, managing your tiles (by playing letters you want to discard, and retaining other more useful letters for later turns).
