Sid Meier's Civilization is a classic turn-based computer strategy game. The object of the game is manage a civilization from its stone age beginnings right into and beyond the modern era. The game has tremendous depth, but is still manageable to play, and the player's role includes exploring territory, building city, managing his civilization's economy, and warfare wth other civilizations. The first version of civilization was released well over a decade ago. Subsequent iterations of the game have improved the game play and graphics, increased realism, but simultaneously improved ease-of-use and playability.
