By K. Lenart
gadgets-and-games.com Released: 2010-12-20 Kindle Edition
 | List Price: $2.99* *(As of 22:15 Pacific 4 Feb 2012 More Info)
Click Here | Product Description: This title has been tested for the K3 and Kindle for PC. It may not work on the older K2 and K1 hardware models.
DESCRIPTION: Kindle Slider Puzzles is a collection of 30 different traditional tile sliding puzzles.
There are three "classic" number sliders the 8-puzzle, 15-puzzle, and 24-puzzle. Also included are 27 "picture" sliders. The picture slider puzzles do not include numbers on the tiles, so those puzzles are more like a cross between traditional sliders and jigsaw puzzles.
In all, the 30 puzzles are guaranteed to keep puzzle fans occupied for hours. Plus they have a high amount of replay value since the initial layout changes to a random configuration each time you scramble the puzzle.
Each starting configuration is guaranteed to be solvable though. The scrambling program code checks for that at the start, so you don't have to worry about getting stuck with a starting configuration that is impossible to finish.
The pictures used for the puzzle are all in full-color. If you play on a standard Kindle eReader they will be rendered in grayscale. However, if you play through Kindle for PC or any other color Kindle display option you will receive the full color pictures.
** Note from the Author: All proceeds are applied towards ongoing medical expenses for a recent cancer survivor. Thanks so much for your purchase.

**************
This title "More Kindle Sliders" is a collection of 25 different sliding picture puzzles. This is sequel to the 2010 release "Kindle Slider Puzzles" so those familiar with that title will know what to expect.
The main difference is that earlier title used full color pictures, which looked awesome when played on Kindle for PC but had to be rendered in real time to black & white images for display on actual K3 hardware. Some people were not happy with the time that took as well as any screen artifacting that occured.
So this time around, we took a different approach. All puzzle art was created specifically optimized for the Kindle eInk screen technology using only black & white shading that was native to the hardware so that no conversion need take place. That makes the game run quicker as well as greatly reduce screen artifacting. The only trade-off is that even if the title is run in a color environment, like Kindle for PC, the artwork will be black & white only. But we felt this compromise was worth it based on feedback we got from everyone on the first title.
The picture slider puzzles do not include numbers on the tiles, so these puzzles are more like a cross between traditional sliders and jigsaw puzzles.
In all, the 25 puzzles are guaranteed to keep fans occupied for hours.
A connection to whispernet is required to initially load the puzzle from our server. After initial loading, you turn off your wireless functionality if you'd like to conserve battery power.
***** This is a 2nd reminder that you need to play this on the K3 or Kindle for PC only. It will not work on K1 or K2 generation hardware. *****
